Cambridge English Curriculum at Kiettisack Academy

Curriculum - Learning English - Kiettisack AcademyThe curriculum of Cambridge English studies at Kiettisack Academy are available at multiple levels of English skills.  All students will begin with a free assessment exam which will help you and our advisors know which study program is best for you.  Here are the various English learning programs at Kiettisack Academy:

YLE (Young Learners English)

Designed to assess the English language skills of Students aged between seven and twelve, the Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) exams are available at three assessment levels (Starters, Movers and Flyers) that encourage Students to work by monitoring their progress.

Students are prepared for the YLE exams by a series of 6 Kid’s Box courses.  The exams are given at the completion of Kid’s Box Level 2, 4, and 6 classes.

Students are prepared for the Cambridge English KET, PET, and First exams by a series of 6 Prepare! classes.

Cambridge English: Key – KET for Schools

A Cambridge English: Key (KET) qualification is proof of your ability to use English to communicate in simple situations. The exam tests all four English language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking.  After the student has completed the Prepare! Level 3 classes, they can advance into the Compact KEY qualification class for final preparation for the KET exam.

Cambridge English: Preliminary – PET for Schools

A Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) qualification shows that you have mastered the basics of English and now have practical language skills for everyday use. This exam is the logical step in your language learning journey between Cambridge English: Key (KET) and Cambridge English: First (FCE). After the student has completed the Prepare! Level 5 classes, they can advance into the Compact Preliminary qualification class for final preparation for the PET exam.

Cambridge English: First (FCE)

A Cambridge English: First (FCE) qualification proves you have the language skills to live and work independently in an English-speaking country or study on courses taught in English. This exam is the logical step in your language learning journey between Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) and Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE). After the student has completed the Prepare! Level 7 classes, they can advance into the Compact First qualification class for final preparation for the FCE exam.
